Italian Research Day in the World: “Artificial Intelligence and Foreign Language Learning”

For the first time, in-person events were held in Ashgabat to celebrate the seventh edition of the Italian Research Day in the World (GRIM 2024). The main theme of the meetings was Artificial Intelligence applied to the learning of foreign languages, with a particular focus on Italian.

Prof. Letizia Cinganotto and Dr. Francesco Lampone, from the University for Foreigners of Perugia, conducted four conferences at the International University for the Humanities and Development (IUHD), the Magtymguly State University, and the Azadi Institute of Foreign Languages, with the participation of over three hundred students, professors, and local researchers.

The concluding conference was held at the Isnokady research, training, and co-working center, one of the most innovative private enterprises in the area. Here, the potential of artificial intelligence in the educational field, particularly for the study and improvement of the Italian language, was explored.

These events have strengthened academic and scientific collaboration between Italy and Turkmenistan, including mobility mechanisms for researchers and students.
