18 October 2024: the 24th edition of the Week of the Italian Language in the World (SLIM 2024) featured numerous events held in Ashgabat from 14 to 18 October. The Rector of the University for Foreigners of Perugia, Professor Valerio De Cesaris, and the Director of International Relations, Valentina Seri, held meetings and delivered lectures at the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan, the International University for the Humanities and Development, Magtymguly State University, the Azadi Institute of Languages and the Ish Nokady Training Centre.
The theme of SLIM 2024, “The World Between the Lines”, was explored throughout all the initiatives, attracting the interest of an audience comprising hundreds of teachers, researchers, students and enthusiasts of the Italian language.
During the visit, the Rectors of the University for Foreigners of Perugia and Magtymguly State University signed a Memorandum of Understanding strengthening and expanding cooperation between the two universities.
