In Remembrance of Ennio Morricone — Nello Salza in Turkmenistan

Ashgabat, 3 June 2025: As part of the celebrations marking the 79th anniversary of Italian Republic Day in Turkmenistan, we paid tribute to the great Italian composer Ennio Morricone, five years after his passing. Maestro Nello Salza, a longstanding interpreter of Morricone’s music, performed alongside Turkmen soprano Bahar Durdiýewa and the Symphony Orchestra of Turkmenistan, conducted by Maestro Rasul Klychev. The concert, “In Remembrance of Ennio Morricone — Nello Salza in Turkmenistan,” held at the Magtymguly National Theatre before a large and enthusiastic audience, was a great success, reaffirming the excellent cultural relations between Italy and Turkmenistan.
