On Friday, 8 May 2026, from 5:00 p.m., the Embassy of Italy in Ashgabat organised a guided tour of the archaeological excavations at Parthian Nisa for the heads of diplomatic missions and international organisations accredited in the capital, as well as representatives of Turkmen institutions working in the field of cultural heritage.
The event provided an opportunity to celebrate the work of Italian archaeological missions in preserving and studying cultural heritage worldwide, one month after the conclusion of the archaeological exhibition “Ancient Civilisations of Turkmenistan”, which attracted great public interest at the Capitoline Museums in Rome.
